Went to Abaca for a dinner with 5 Filipina cousins and we all agreed that Abaca is the finest Filipino food we have ever had! The chef's signature sisig fried rice did not disappoint and was my favorite item on the menu. Definitively recommend the Kare kare beef bbq sticks~ so tender and flavorful. The squid ink noodle pusit was savory and delightful. Every dish was as amazing as the next. Loved the vibe of this fun restaurant. Shout out to Allie, our server~ gave us the best recommendations and wonderful service! Day, the sweet manager made sure every dish we had was perfect! If you're looking to try the best elevated Filipino food, you gotta try Abaca! 5 star service and 5 star cuisine!

Truly astounding take on Filipino food. Growing up, my aunts were always in competition to provide the best dishes to a party. So I've been exposed to many things. If this wasn't designed for gourmet, they would dominate California's Filipino restaurant market. If I had to impress and show off, this is one of the places. The service is sweet & humble, the staff wrote me a birthday card! The food, all the dishes kept blowing my mind. There is eating Filipino food my whole life. Let's compare that to inventing the automobile. Then these guys, Chef Francis. He just started exploring space with his amazing dishes. Must try!

Love this place! Nice to have an upscale dining experience serving Filipino food. The dishes aren't strictly traditional, but the encapsulate the flavors the original dishes have. The service was great, though without a reservation you will wait for a table if arriving after 630p. They fill up quick especially on weekends. Not cheap but worth it. The portions aren't tiny like European fancy restaurants.

Can't leave the bay area without trying this place out. Serving Filipino food with great sophistication. Sat in the bar as a solo diner. I had pork lumpia, pork bbq skewers, chicken adobo skewers, and trout belly toast. Everything tasted great and their versions showed the rest of the world the potential for Filipino food to go mainstream. Will definitely return on my next trip to the bay.

Vacationing this weekend in San Francisco. Found this place thru tiktok recommendations and it did not disappoint. The drinks were amazing, ube colada and calamansi daiquiri tasted delicious. The crispy chicken skin & spicy vinegar was so delectable. The sisig was elevated yet authentic. Desserts were just the right amount of sweetness. The server said the menu refreshes often so definitely looking forward to visiting this restaurant again next time we’re in town.

This place is hands down one of the best restaurants in California. One of the only restaurants in the state consistently reinventing while staying true to the Filipino flavors and culture. The staff and chef are so friendly and make the experience amazing. Weeknights you can even meet some of the chefs and hear their inspiration for the dishes. When the place is popping, they still manage to give top tier service. Can’t wait to keep supporting! Worth every penny.

Great service, nice and clean space, and the food was very flavorful. The creative take on Filipino food was delightfully, surprising although some dishes could have been paired better (curry would be nice with rice that was instead paired with pandesal). I understand it's trying to be unique but nice to still have the option). My favorite was the starter basket of appetizers, best thing was the curry. We also ordered the crab crêpe, French toast, Buco pie, bibinka and a couple of drinks. It was a great experience and awesome to see Filipino dishes elevated:)

I had a great dinner at Abaca. Our server, Julia, guided us through the paubaya menu. We started with some pica pica, followed by appetizers. The main course was amazing--especially the caldereta dumplings with A5 wagyu, which were the highlight of the meal. The sisig fried rice was as tasty as always, and the crispy pata with a sinigang glaze was full of flavor. We ended the night with some desserts and my favorite--hot calamansi juice! We'll definitely come back since menu is seasonal!

Came here with my family to treat them out and celebrate an early Mother's Day so here we are. :) We ordered the Kamayan feast which was $95 a person. "Kamayan" is a term for a Filipino feast in which food is laid out on banana leaves and you eat using your hands. The food was pretty good. My mom's favorite was the Mother's Day cassava cake they made at the end. The service here was decent. The staff is very kind and has an extensive knowledge of the menu. The restaurant is decorated nicely and gives off upscale tropical vibes.

I absolutely love this place. The ambiance is so welcoming and gets such great natural lighting inside. The service is impeccable. Everyone is so warm and regularly checked in with our party. And last but not least, the food is absolutely incredible the Wagyu in the silog was cooked perfectly and the garlic rice and vegetables accompanying it were so flavorful. The banana bread was also so fantastic- moist and perfectly baked. Can't wait to come back again!
